Peer Munck
President & Executive Producer

Seeking to merge his passion for music with his business expertise, Peer founded MunckMix in 2003. Advances in technology at that time had made it possible to create a business that could bring high quality live music recordings to market in a quick and cost effective way. By combining these technologies with innovative merchandising techniques MunckMix pioneered the field of instant live recording by making high quality recordings of concerts available to fans on CDs only minutes after the end of the show.

Prior to forming MunckMix, Peer accumulated over 15 years of management consulting experience as a Partner in Strategic Planning Associates in Washington, D.C. (a spin-off from the Boston Consulting Group) and later as the leader of the Digital Strategy practice of Diamond Technology Partners in Chicago. During his management and technology consulting career, Peer tackled a variety of business issues in multiple industries, including manufacturing, retailing, communications, utilities, financial services, distribution, packaging materials, apparel, and consumer products.

Peer also has extensive entrepreneurial and hands-on operational experience from establishing and running companies in the maritime cargo-handling, apparel manufacturing, and foodservice distribution industries.

Peer holds a BS degree from Cornell University, and an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

Christian Gero
Production Manager

Christian is responsible for the day to day production initiatives at MunckMix, including recording, mixing, mastering, download management, and artist relations. He can also be seen behind the recording rig when MunckMix is on the road doing instant live recordings for bands and music festivals.

Christian is an accomplished audio programmer and theatrical sound designer and has worked with many theatre companies in the Chicago area.

Christian holds a B.A. in Music Technology from Northwestern University.

Mike Nicodemus
Operations Manager

Mike runs the day to day operations at MunckMix, including media manufacturing and duplication, order fulfillment, and customer service.  He also manages our instant live merchandising and duplication operations on the road - a service whereby concertgoers can take home a recording of the performance they just attended immediately after the show.

Mike has a deep love of music and an in-depth knowledge of the history and lineage of the various bands and musicians we work with.

Eli Kelly
Audio Engineer & Technician

Eli is responsible for planning and executing the technical aspects of MunckMix' many recording, mixing, and mastering projects. This includes equipment architecture, process design, personnel training, and field recording protocols.  

Eli also works as an Information Technology engineer for the Lake County school system in Illinois.

Eli holds a BS degree in Recording Industry Production & Technology from Middle Tennessee State University.

Mickey Barendt
Audio Engineer

Mickey is a seasoned audio engineer with 20+ years of live sound production and studio recording experience.  He is involved in many of MunckMix' post-production mixing and mastering efforts and handles several field recording projects.  

Mickey also works as a pro audio consultant with Gand Music & Sound in Chicago and owns Blue Studio Productions in Evanston, Illinos.  

Fred Pellegrini
Special Projects

Fred has over 25 years of experience in the music industry as a professional musician, producer, and audio engineer. He currently owns a studio in Hershey, PA and works with MunckMix on special field recording and production assignments in the US and abroad.

Fred is holds a BA degree in Music Business from University of Miami, and a BA degree in Business Administration from Penn State University.
