MunckMix
generates auxiliary income for bands, musicians and
music festivals by recording their live performances and
distributing the recordings directly to the
public. We pass the bulk of the revenues from
the recordings directly on to the artists, and do not require ownership or publishing rights
in the music we help distribute.
MunckMix provides a turn-key
service, including recording, mixing, mastering, CD
duplication, download encoding and transmission,
order fulfillment, customer service, and royalty
administration. We also provide instant
fulfillment of CDs and other digital media (USB Flash drives, SD cards) at concert venues so fans can
take home a recording of the performance they just
attended. There are no recouped costs or up-front fees. The
artists get their share of revenues from the first recording sold.
MunckMix
is the most experienced provider of live recording
and distribution services. We started working
with The Grateful Dead on their reunion tours
in 2003 and 2004, and have since expanded to provide
live recording services for bands such as The
Allman Brothers Band, Bob Weir &
RatDog, Little Feat, Bruce
Hornsby, The Pixies, and more.
Since 2004 we have also been working with the The
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (the
largest music festival
in the world) where we have
produced and distributed live recordings of over 150
performances, including 2009 GRAMMY WINNER "BeauSoleil & Michael Doucet - Live at the 2008 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival".
